Early in life, alongside his father, Alfredo spent time farming with his family, where he learned how to drive at the age of eight.

While living in Porterville he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in high school and in college for sports and academics.

Alfredo was drafted to the Giants the same year he was drafted to the Army Reserves in 1972. He was given the choice and he chose to serve his country for six years in an infantry battalion.

Out of high school, he began to perfect his craft of cabinetry, which led to a lifelong venture of 64 years.

In 1980 he moved his family to Santa Maria, and had his own successful business by 1987. He owned Pacific Coast Cabinets for 38 years.

His love for sports grew throughout his life. a love that was then instilled in his own children and passed down to his grandchildren. Al umpired countless softball showcases, high school and national fast-pitch softball games in Sacramento, San Diego, Corona and locally.

A diehard Rams and Angel’s fan, you could find Al watching and supporting his favorite teams year round. He loved to travel and loved playing on his beloved Buffalo machines at the casino.

Married for 47 years. Alfredo spent much of his time with family. Whether that be barbecuing on the weekends, or watching his grandkids play their sports. Al was their biggest fan.
