San Marcos girls volleyball dominated its way to an undefeated Channel League season and a league title this fall, resulting in a plethora of All-League honors.
Senior outside hitter Charlotte Hastings pulled in the highest of honors, as her standout campaign was rewarded with the Channel League Most Valuable Player Award.
While Hastings and the Royals led the charge, Santa Barbara High and Dos Pueblos student-athletes also collected All-Channel League selections for their individual seasons.
San Marcos (14-0, 1st)
The all-senior San Marcos squad had contributors up and down the lineup, but the trio of Hastings, middle blocker Samantha Fallon and outside hitter Cora Loomer proved to be key difference makers on their way to All-League First Team nods.
Meanwhile, opposite hitter Gracie Stone, libero Alina Stapf and setter Lila Westmacott made their impacts felt and earned spots on the All-League Second Team.
The duo of defensive specialist Isla McClintock and setter Avery Leck capped off the team’s honorees as All-League Honorable Mention selections.
Santa Barbara High (10-4, 3rd)
Junior outside hitter Blake Saunders filled up the stat sheet all season for the Dons and represented her team on the All-Channel League First Team.
Fellow junior and libero Paylin Marcillac also played a critical role in the team’s success and picked up an All-Channel League Second Team spot as a result.
The sophomore pairing of setter/opposite hitter Jules Horton and defensive specialist/libero Grace Costner gave Dons’ fans plenty to look forward to in the coming years with All-League Honorable Mention seasons.
Dos Pueblos (5-9, 6th)
Senior outside hitter Addison Low brought her high school career to an end in style, leading the team both offensively and defensively en route to an All-League First Team selection.
Maggie Squire and Faith Harrison provided key contributions as well on their way to All-League Honorable Mentions.
