She is inspired to support the Alzheimer’s Association on a deeper level to honor her grandother and her mother-in-law, who passed from the disease.

Donald R. Logan was raised in Santa Barbara and has spent most of his career overseeing a variety of corporations as a vice president or president, most recently for La Cumbre Country Club, and Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara, where he also serves on the board of directors.

Logan holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a BA from Claremont McKenna College. He aims to help support the Alzheimer’s Association’s dementia research and local care efforts in honor of his father, who is living with mild cognitive impairment.

Pat Snyder has some 30 years of experience in community college and nonprofit fundraising and management, and 10 years of consulting for a variety of nonprofits in Santa Barbara and Issaquah, Washington.

She has served on the boards of the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation, Santa Barbara Children’s Museum (MOXI), SBCC Foundation, and Center for Successful Aging.

Snyder joined the Central Coast Chapter Board of Directors as an opportunity to give back and ensure the Alzheimer’s Association’s resources are available to those in need throughout the community, just as they were to her when she was a caregiver for her mother with Alzheimer’s, and her aunt with vascular dementia.

“I am very excited to have these new additions to our Alzhiemer’s Association Central Coast Board,” said board chair Katina Zaninovich. “These individuals have long ties to our community and have done much in various fields of nonprofit and philanthropic organizations that provide for the greater good.

“Their personal connections to the disease and their collective energy, expertise and judgment will drive our mission forward.”
