Andre McCullough rushed for four touchdowns in the first half, powering the San Marcos football team to a 42-0 Channel League win over Channel Islands on Homecoming Night at Warkentin Stadium.

McCullough had scoring runs of 4, 9, 12 and 16 yards as the Royals took a 35-0 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Nathan Jones ran for a 4-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

The Royals also got a passing touchdown as quarterback Josh Engel hit Owen Lauderdale for a 20-yard score.

San Marcos improved to 2-5 in league play and 4-5 overall. The Royals host Santa Barbara in the annual Big Game next Friday night.

Rio Mesa 54, Dos Pueblos 0

Rio Mesa scored three touchdowns in the first eight minutes of the game and rolled to the Channel League win at home against Dos Pueblos. 

The Spartans are in a battle for a share of the Channel League title with Santa Barbara and Pacifica. They are now 6-1 in league and 7-2 overall.

Dos Pueblos finished its season at 1-7 in league and 3-7 overall.

Carpinteria 17, Nordhoff 10

The Warriors won their first game in Citrus Coast League play.
