Following a national search, Cottage Health has appointed Andrew Brown as the new vice president of advancement. In his role Brown will lead fund development operations and work with the foundations providing fundraising support for Cottage Health.
Brown brings 20-plus years of experience in advancement leadership. Most recently, he served as vice president of advancement at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he led The Macalester Moment fundraising campaign, a four-year, $100 million fundraising initiative that exceeded its goal by 26%.
While at Macalester, Brown also implemented community-centric fundraising strategies and doubled total annual fundraising.
Prior to his time at Macalester College, Brown served as assistant vice president at the University of Minnesota Foundation, where he facilitated the development of a comprehensive $4 billion fundraising campaign.
Brown holds a juris doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
