Andrew Douglas scored 21 points to pace Santa Barbara to a 68-54 Seniors Night win against Ventura on Friday.
Erik Strandberg added 16 points and Miles Thompson 14 for the Dons, who impressed coach Corey Adam with their start-to-finish play.
“This was our most complete game of the season, and for the first time this year we won all four quarters,” Adam said. “We limited our turnovers and we shot the ball well. Really proud of and happy for this group of seniors who went out winners on Senior Night.”
Adam said Dylan Borgeson “played a huge role” limiting Ventura’s best player, 6-5 senior Caleb Gilbert, to two fourth-quarter free throws when he Borgeson was switched to guard him. Gilbert had 21 points in the first three quarters.
Santa Barbara is now 7-5 overall and remains 5-4 in Channel League play.
