Another “mini heat wave” is headed to Santa Barbara County.

Friday and Saturday will have temperatures reaching the high-70s and 80s, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Heat advisories were issued for the Santa Ynez Mountains and parts of San Luis Obispo and Ventura counties, in effect through 9 p.m. Saturday.

The Santa Ynez Valley is expected to hit 90 degrees this weekend, Santa Barbara and Santa Maria will reach the low-80s, and other parts of the county will hover in the high-70s.

The Cuyama Valley could get up to 96 degrees, the NWS said.

The warm weather is expected through Sunday, and then temperatures will drop off again, the NWS said.

Coastal areas are expected to have fog along with this mini heat wave.

There’s an elevated risk for grass fires through Sunday in valleys and foothill areas, due to the heat and low humidity, the NWS said.
