Our beloved father, brother, son, and uncle, Anthony Villa, 57, entered into the hands of the Lord unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 30, surrounded by his family.

He will forever be remembered for his strong and humble heart, his joyful laugh, and his ability to make a joke out of any circumstance.

He lived for his family and had a compassionate heart for all.

He is survived by his children, Andrew, Abigail (Jeffery), Rebecca and Henry; Patricia Oviedo Villa, with whom he shared the joy of raising their children; his brother, Randy (Eden); and his sister-in-law, Jennifer, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.

He is now sitting at the eternal poker table with all of our family, waiting for the next hand to be dealt, all the while joking with the rest of the family.

We will miss him at the family BBQs, dinners, and camping excursions. We will keep the Lumpia hot and the tri-tip marinated and think of you often.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, at St. Joseph’s Church in Carpinteria, with interment to follow at Carpinteria Cemetery.
