The Santa Barbara Museum of Art (SBMA) will host Artful Affairs: Auction 80, a curated virtual auction in support of museum’s programs and educational outreach.

In celebration of SBMA’s 80th anniversary this year, a collection of artfully minded auction items will be offered during the benefit, including art experiences, behind-the-scenes tours, private events, trips, staycations, works of art, and wine.

The items have been gathered by the event committee and donated by SBMA friends and supporters. Bidding will be available May 7-21 at SBMAartfulaffairs.com.

Items available include: 

»  An exclusive event with SBMA curators in the renovated museum galleries, including the Photography and New Media galleries, Asian Art gallery, and others. 

» An elegant Artful Affairs event at unique private estates in Santa Barbara, where winner will view private art collections. 

» Sailing in the Greek Isles on Aegean Sea and Peloponnese Peninsula aboard Sea Cloud II with popular SBMA study leader Nigel McGilchrist (July 11-20, 2022). 

» A tour of galleries in Los Angeles led by SBMA curator of contemporary art James Glisson; includes two-night stay at Four Seasons Los Angeles, lunch at Ladurée, and dinner at La Culina Ristorante.
