Aurora Casso Cervantes, a cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Oct. 5, 2024 at the age of 97, surrounded by her loving family in Loma Linda, California.

Born Jan. 15, 1927 in San Antonio, Texas, Aurora lived a life filled with kindness, strength, determination and a deep devotion to her family.

Aurora is survived by her children Rudy (Lucy) Cervantes, Mike (Sherri) Cervantes, Jony (Lori) Cervantes, and Joe (Kalya) Cervantes; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Rudy Cervantes and her daughter Liz Cervantes.

A rosary will be held in Santa Barbara at Welch, Ryder, Haider on Nov. 4 and a memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Santa Barbara on Nov. 5.
