Our beloved mother Aurora “Rory” Espinoza was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on Aug 24, 2021. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Santa Barbara on July 25, 1926 to Cecilio and Josepha Chavez. She attended local schools and worked for the Santa Barbara Schools Food Service for 31 years until her retirement.

In 1952 she married her husband Humberto Espinoza and had four children Bert, Rosa, Fernando and Mario.

Rory enjoyed her afternoon coffee breaks and helping people. She also loved going to bible studies and attending church. She had a heart of gold. Rory also had a love for animals, especially her cats.

Rory is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Tony and Angelo, and her son Mario.

She is survived by her daughter Rosa Buse, Bert (Debbie), Fernando (Maureen); sister Lelia Kephart; sisters-in-law Estella Chavez and Rosita Espinoza; three grandsons; one granddaughter; five great-grandkids; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
