Local children’s author Linda Lacunza will be at Chaucer’s Books for a book signing for “Finjamin and the Wild Ones” and for her “Wild Ones”coloring book, 2 p.m. Sunday, April 2 at 3321 State St.

“Finjamin and the Wild Ones” is a story for parents and children interested in adventure, mystery and wildlife.

Inspired by true events after a wildfire, the illustrated tale teaches children what it means to love animals.

The book offers facts about wildlife, and about the firefighters and animal-rescuers who work tirelessly to help them.

Every sale of these books contributes to helping animal-rescue organizations.

A former middle school teacher, Lacunza now runs a local nonprofit organization.
