Chaucer’s Books, 3321 State St., Santa Barbara, will host Jann Winford for a book talk and signing of her novel “Dating Under the Influence of Estrogen.” 6 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 12.
When your dating pool turns into a swamp, you bring wine, sarcasm, and a life jacket, according to Winford of Santa Barbara.
“ ‘Dating Under the Influence of Estrogen’ — equal parts rom-com with a dash of memoir — is the no-holds-barred, laugh-till-you-snort adventure of Ruby Ann Wilson’s return to riotous and hilarious dating that may lead her to finding her Mr. Right,” Chaucer’s said.
Winford said she enjoys weaving her own life experiences into the stories she tells; “stories about the comedy and chaos that inevitably show up when women get involved with men, dating, love and sex.”
