No injuries were reported after a vehicle drove into Toy Crazy at the Montecito Country Mart just before noon on Monday, according to Santa Barbara City Fire Department Battalion Chief Rich Ames.
Emergency crews responded to 1026 Coast Village Road for a report of a car into a building at 11:58 a.m.
Police Lt. Ethan Ragsdale said the building had moderate damage from the crash, and fire personnel were at the scene evaluating whether it was safe for occupancy. Ames also said the city’s building inspector responded to the scene.
Police are investigating the cause of the collision, Ragsdale said. At this time, investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
