For half a decade, the young athletes of Santa Barbara have competed on the pitch for the American Youth Soccer Organization, or AYSO.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of AYSO in town, the organization will host current and longtime AYSO families, former players, coaches, referees and volunteers in a celebration at Cody’s Cafe later in October.
AYSO is also collecting stories and photos for its 50th anniversary archive and is looking for locals with stories and photos from their time on the soccer fields in Santa Barbara.
