“I’m really proud that all of our players on the court are making contributions and scoring points for us,” Charger coach Megan O’Carroll said. “I’d especially like to shout out the play of senior Makeila Cervantes — she was absolutely on fire for us tonight and was unstoppable at the net. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen her swing as hard as she was tonight.”
Cervantes finished with nine digs, seven kills, two blocks and two aces.
Teammate Chloe Hoffman added 11 digs, 10 kills and three aces. Lucy Speier had seven digs, five kills, four aces and a block, Malia Brofferio had 20 digs, three kills, an assist and an ace, and Halle Rillie had seven digs, two kills, 22 assists, two blocks and three aces.
