ASAP Cats’ will host Basil’s Big Bash, the annual gala dedicated to raising funds for the welfare of cats in Santa Barbara County, Friday, June 9 at the Carousel House in Santa Barbara’s Chase Palm Park.
The event was created in 2014 to raise funds for cats and kittens in need, and to bring together the local community of feline lovers who share a goal — saving cats.
The 2022 bash focused on reuniting lost cats with their families, demonstrating an integral part of ASAP’s mission in serving each cat that passes through the shelter’s doors. This year’s event will share a similar familial theme.
ASAP prides itself on keeping up the relationship with every cat it has encountered, continuing to provide education, welfare and aid wherever possible.
Whether reuniting felines with their family or returning them to their home in the community, ASAP works to understand how best to save every cat.
In addition to dinner and dancing, the gala will feature silent and live auctions, offering an array of things from items of comfort, to experiences, to an instant wine cellar.

ASAP Cats is dedicated to saving the lives of local cats by providing shelter, veterinary care, behavioral support, adoption and foster services, education, and community outreach.
