The San Marcos beach volleyball team was in top form on Wednesday as it swept all five individual matches against Santa Barbara in a Channel League match.

Riley Green and Lily Blankenhorn defeated the Dons’ duo Gracie Meinzer/Gwen Chenoweth, 21-14, 21-10 to set the done for the Royals. Meinzer/Chenoweth were coming off a big win over Dos Pueblos’ No. 1 pair on Tuesday.

San Marcos won the other four matches in straight sets as well.

“We struggled a little with our ball control and execution on offense overall today,” said Santa Barbara coach Kristen Hempy. “SM showed up very consistent and steady, and we weren’t quite up to the challenge.”
