Alpha Resource Center invites the community to a kick-off party for the third Annual Plane Pull Benefit event, 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 7 at Miss Daisy’s Consignment & Auction House, 3845 State St. Santa Barbara.
In its first pre-event to launch the Plane Pull fundraiser, Alpha will serve appetizers, wine and non-alcoholic beverages at Miss Daisy’s store, which offers a stage, lights, sound and big digital screen for the nonprofit to use no charge.
Attendees can bring a friend and plot how to create a team to play tug-of-war with an Alaska Airlines E175 airplane weighing nearly 100,000 pounds. Bragging rights go to the winning team.
