Mia Reveles ripped a bases-loaded triple during a nine-run first inning for Dos Pueblos in a 10-7 non-league softball win at Righetti on Wednesday.

Bella Nuno continued her hot hitting, going 2-4 with a triple and a RBI.

“It was nice to get off to a good start,” said coach Mike Gerken. “We took advantage of some walks in the first inning to give us a cushion, then Mia stepped up and hit the bases loaded triple. The offense got a little stagnant in the middle part, but then we got the triple from Bella to get things going again.”

Righetti closed the gap, but Nuno was able to close out the last two innings to earn the save.

DP’s outfield came up with big plays on a windy day.

“Paulina Avina and Leila Chisholm, in particular, tracked down some deep shots to save extra bases,” said Gerken.

Dos Pueblos improved to 8-3.
