Bill Rosen has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the Goleta West Sanitary District Board of Directors.
Rosen said he was grateful for the opportunity to serve as a board member and looks forward to gaining a better understanding of the issues facing the district.
Rosen previously served for 16 years on the Goleta Water District Board, including five consecutive terms as board president. He served as the water district’s representative to the Central Coast Water Authority and to the ACWA Joint Powers Insurance Authority.
Rosen also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of California Water Agencies. He previously was chief counsel to a county in New York and has experience in governmental processes.
Currently, GWSD collects sewage that is treated under an agreement with the Goleta Sanitary District. The sanitary district also provides street sweeping services.
