Bishop Diego girls volleyball took down Cate in four sets on Thursday, 19-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-18.
The matchup was also Senior Night for the Rams, honoring Simran Sharma, Josie Frazier and Melanie Davidson.
“Simran, Josie and Melanie have all made a huge impact on our team and it was great to see them all make an impact tonight on the floor,” Cate coach Jordon Dyer said.
Cate came out strong in the first set, picking up a 25-19 win. However, the Cardinals bounced back well and rattled off three straight victories to clinch the overall win.
“That was a really fun match to be a part of,” Dyer said. “Hats off to Bishop Diego, they responded well after losing the first game to us. We challenged Eliana Urzua right off the bat and she rose to the occasion.
“Silver lining is that our team played fearless volleyball from the first point to the last, we improved and made some really impressive plays throughout.”
