Bishop Diego girls volleyball kicked off league play with a convincing sweep over Grace on Friday inside the Brick House, 25-10, 25-19, 25-12.
“Our players really came through for us tonight, and showed up to play,” Cardinals team manager Ben Zoltoski said.
Sophie Otte hammered down 15 kills to lead all players, while Karina Urzua tallied six of her own.
Meanwhile, Natalie Chan picked up five kills and an impressive eight aces to lead the charge from the service line.
Bishop Diego (10-3, 1-0 Tri-Valley League) will host Cate for another league match next Friday.
