Bishop Diego track & field sent several standout student-athletes to the Tri-Valley League Finals on Friday at Ventura College.

The Cardinal boys 4×100 relay team of Gabe Phillips, Remi Boykin, Josh Lopez and Connor Boyd led the charge with a second-place finish in their race.

Meanwhile, Isabella Aguilar, Mia Desales, Peyton Miller and Mia Zimmerman came in fifth place in the girls 4×100 relay race.

Individually, Franki Macias had a strong day with a second-place showing in the discus at 110-10 and a third-place mark in the shot put with a throw of 35-10.

Aiden Garcia also impressed in the throws for Bishop Diego, taking second in the shot put and fourth in discus with marks of 36-5 and 82-2, respectively.

Boykin recorded a fifth-place finish in the 100-meter at 11.86 seconds, while Boyd crossed the finish line in 23.32 seconds to earn fifth place in the 200-meter.
