One CIF-SS girls volleyball finalist and two semifinalist from last season are among the 27 teams entered in Bishop Diego’s Cardinal Classic on Saturday.

The tournament is taking place at the Page Center and Bishop Diego. The 15 teams in the Gold Division play at the Page Center while the remaining 12 battle it out in the Silver Division at Bishop.

The Gold Division includes local schools Santa Barbara High, Dos Pueblos and Santa Ynez. Top teams from out of the area include Canyon High of Canyon Country, last year’s CIF-SS Division 5 runner-up, Division 6 semifinalists South Pasadena and Crossroads, Capistrano Valley Christian and Wiseburn DaVinci of El Segundo.

Bishop, Laguna Blanca, Cabrillo and Lompoc are the area schools competing in the Silver Division.

Pool play starts at 8:30 a.m., and the playoffs are expected to begin at around 2 p.m.

Gold Division

A: Santa Ynez, Canyon CC, Villanova Prep, Louisville

B: Capistrano Valley Christian, Crossroads, Santa Barbara

C: Wiseburn DaVinci, Ventura, Heritage Christian, Mission Prep

D: Dos Pueblos, Archer, Nipomo, South Pasadena

Silver Division

A: Laguna Blanca, Cabrillo-Lompoc, Cate, Atascadero

B: Trinity Classical Academy, SLO Classical, Bishop Diego, Lompoc

C: Rio Mesa, Coastal Christian, Santa Paula, Viewpoint
