The Cardinal duo was honored at the SBART Press Luncheon on Monday at Harry’s Plaza Cafe.

Flint has been an explosive outside hitter for Bishop Diego all season, and that continued last week as he helped his team punch its ticket to the CIF-SS Division 5 Championship.

The senior began the week with a whopping 30 kills and 12 digs in a five-set win over Brea Olinda in the quarterfinals, and followed that with a team-high 20 kills to take down El Dorado in four sets in the semifinals.

Clark, meanwhile, represented the Cardinals well as the team’s lone swimmer at the CIF-SS Division 4 Championship meet.

She captured a pair of individual CIF titles at the meet, taking first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 53.06 seconds and touching first in the 200 freestyle in 1:56.81.

The boys honorable mentions were Nolan Clark (SM Swim), Eli Carnaghe (DP Swim), Ciaran Tober-Bridges (DP Tennis) and Damien Krautmann (Bishop Volleyball).

The girls honorable mentions were Emi Kanda-Gleeson (Cate Swim), Jules Horton (SB Swim), Eleanor Grube (SM Swim) and Elina Stump (SB Track).

The Athlete of the Week award winners are selected by the local sports media.
