The Bishop Diego girls beach volleyball duo of Sophie Otte and Wynter Thorne-Thomsen captured the Tri-Valley League Individual Pairs championship on Tuesday.
Otte and Thorne-Thomsen began their day with 2-0 victories over the No. 2 pairings of Thacher and Foothill Tech to punch their ticket into the tournament semifinals.
They followed that up with a 2-0 win over Santa Clara’s ones before taking down the top Foothill duo in the championship match in straight sets.
Meanwhile, the Bishop Diego pairing of Addie Barat and Olivia Leflang reached the quarterfinal round of the tournament.
Bishop Diego will now look ahead to the CIF-SS playoffs, which begin next week.
