It’s a new era at the Santa Barbara Harbor.
The Breakwater Cafe is gone, and in its place is Gracie, which formally opened this week.
“We are excited,” the company told Noozhawk. “We officially opened over Labor Day, so it was a very busy first weekend.”
The new restaurant, at 107 Harbor Way, is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday through Monday, with plans to expand to seven days soon.
It serves brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and happy hour from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays. It also has a full cocktail bar.
The menu includes ceviche, fish tacos, salmon, sole, along with chicken, pasta and other dishes. The restauarant also serves salads and desserts.
Dudley Michael and Grace Austin are also the owners of the Rodeo Room at 231 W. Montecito St. and The Shop Brunch at 730 N. Milpas St., both in Santa Barbara.

Pop Art Studio Opens
Charles Fazzino, a renowned 3D pop artist, has opened 3D Studio Gallery in downtown Santa Barbara.
The artist is known for his unique three-dimensional works and has become “one of the most sought-after artists throughout the world,” according to his website.
Fazzino held a grand opening recently, in an event at 1011 State St. and hosted by the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce.
“If you find yourself in Santa Barbara, be sure to stop by the new gallery and see Fazzino’s collection of 3D masterpieces,” according to the Downtown Association.
“View an ever-changing montage of images that will transport you to places far and wide. We are also the only gallery in the world to show Fazzino’s exclusive imagery of Santa Barbara. So, stop in! We’d love to meet you,” the website states.
Little King Coffee Opens
The Post in Santa Barbara has a new shop, Little King Coffee.
The Post opened late last year and is home to individual retail shops and restaurants. Ospi, a modern Italian concept from Jackson and Melissa Kalb, has been one of the main attractions.
“It took us what felt like forever to get here, but we finally did it!!! Come celebrate with us 7am – 4pm everyday for forever,” the company said recently in an Instagram post.
The Post is at 1801 E. Cabrillo Blvd., near the Andree Clark Bird Refuge.
Hotel Santa Barbara Reborn
Hotel Santa Barbara has completed renovation of its hotel and new bar, 1926.
“We’ve been eagerly anticipating the completion of these improvements, and they have exceeded our expectations,” said Chris Cline, general manager of Hotel Santa Barbara. “With the debut of 1926, we’re not only embracing the evolving needs of today’s guests but also honoring the hotel’s history.”
In addition to refreshed spaces, according to a news release, guests can enjoy new lobby bar 1926, “a sophisticated new addition celebrating the hotel’s rich heritage.”
The bar pays homage to the year Hotel Santa Barbara reopened its doors following the 1925 earthquake. The bar is intended to capture the essence of the city’s spirit and the “era of refinement, celebration and timelessness.”
It will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
