Silvergreens Café has officially opened its new location at 1001 State St. in Santa Barbara, taking over a small space at the Amazon building.

The healthy eating brand started in Isla Vista and is owned by Jay Ferro, the founder who helped start the brand in 1995. He also owns the restaurant chain Kyle’s Kitchen.

The shop will offer a curated menu of fresh salads, wraps, soups, sandwiches, breakfast items and healthy snack boxes for customers on the go.

Silvergreens partnered with Renaud’s Patisserie and Bistro and Handlebar Coffee Roasters to round out its offerings.

“This really feels like the next evolution of Silvergreens,” Ferro said. “We’ve taken the fresh, healthy food philosophy that has always defined the brand and reimagined it for how people live and work today. We’re incredibly excited to become part of the vibrant scene evolving downtown and create a space that feels welcoming, convenient and deeply connected to the Santa Barbara community.”

The shop will be open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
