The Blenders youth basketball league held its 7th/8th grade league championships on Wednesday night at the Page Center.

In the girls final, coach Dema Rida’s squad won a 20-19 decision over a team coached by Gary Goldberg.

The Blenders 7th/8th grade boys teams of coach Gregory and Elayne Blessing (blue) and Jeff Lee (white) met in one division final at the Page Center.

Kindah Reda and Giulia Gislimberti led Rida’s squad. Grace Goldberg and Lily Ruvalcaba were the standouts for coach Goldberg.

In the first of two boys games, the team coached by Jeff Lee defeated a squad guided by Gregory Blessing, 71-41.

Darnell Campbell’s team blue played Dan Oh’s team white in a 7th/8th grade division final of the Blenders League.

Luke Wilson, Blake Lee and Tanner Wilson led a come-from-behind win for coach Lee.

Lucas Blessing, Dylan Pettit and Brandon Stock led coach Blessing’s group.

In the second game, Crew Sjvold and Sergio Lenderos led the team coached by Dan Oh to a 57-47 victory over coach Darnell Campbell’s squad. 

Benicio Huerta and Cash Rigdle were the high scorers for coach Campbell in the uptempo game.
