New Beginnings has partnered with local nonprofit Unite to Light to fundraise for portable Solar Powered Chandler Chargers and/or Solar Luke Lights for New Beginnings clients living in their vehicles, RVs, or those of whom do not have access to other forms of light at night.
From July 1-7 the groups are offering a Buy One | Give One (BOGO) sale. Those who buy a BOGO product on Unite to Light’s website will be donating one to the fundraiser.
The goal is to generate 20 chargers and/or lights this week.
The chargers and lights are appropriate for camping, emergency kits, bedside reading and anywhere else a portable power and light are needed, according to New Beginnings.
The adults, seniors and children within the Safe Parking Program will be able to use the lights and chargers in their vehicles after dark, assisting them with homework, studying, reading for work or pleasure, and charging a cell phone.
