Authors Sissy Taran and Tiffany Howard will be on hand to discuss their book “We Are Resilient,” 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13 in Santa Barbara Central Library’s Faulkner Gallery, 40 E. Anapamu St.

Contributing authors Grace Fisher, Emma Solano, and Andy Gilliland will talk about how their experiences have shaped their understanding and embodiment of resilience.

Book signing and refreshments will follow the talk. 


Also during August in the Faulkner Gallery, library visitors can view an exhibit of Fisher’s artwork. There will be a First Thursday reception for the show 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 6.
