Bishop Diego boys golf finished off its second consecutive undefeated Tri-Valley League season with a win over Grace on Tuesday at Santa Barbara Golf Club.
The Cardinals finished the day with a score of 205 to beat out Grace at 218, giving Bishop Diego back-to-back Tri-Valley League championships.
Ben Zoltoski and Joe Derosa led the way for Bishop Diego as they each shot a 39. Meanwhile, Jack and Luke Eliassen both ended the day at 42 and William Scribner carded a 43 to secure the win.
The Cardinals will now look ahead to the Tri-Valley League individual finals next week.
San Marcos 339, Ventura High 368
The Royals put together a dominant team score en route to a league win over the Cougars on Tuesday at Buenaventura Golf Club, a par-70 course.
All five of the San Marcos golfers finished under par for the first time since at least 2019, according to head coach Jeff Ashton.
Andy Keenan and Nate Duva shined throughout the day with a three-under-par 67, while Austin Downing and Axl Wedhammar each ended at 68. Adam Kabaretti rounded out the Royals with his one-under-par 69.
“339 is the lowest team score that I have seen since doing this,” Ashton said. “I’m really proud of the guys today and all season.”
The Royals, who are 6-0 against league opponents, will round out team Channel League play against Pacifica on Tuesday at Santa Barbara Golf Club.
Santa Barbara High 403, Pacifica 459
The Dons took care of business with a league win over the Tritons on Tuesday at River Ridge Golf Course, a par 72.
Santa Barbara High’s Alex Ortega was the top golfer in the field, finishing the day with a one-over-par 73.
He was followed by teammates Peyton Webley (77), Jack Alzina (83), Owen Quirk (84), Dimitri Tar (86) and Emmett Wong (89).
“The team continued their consistent play in wet conditions after the rain swept through the course,” Santa Barbara High head coach Ryan Throop said.
The Dons (12-2, 5-1 Channel League) will host Dos Pueblos on Thursday at Santa Barbara Golf Club.
