Carpinteria High boys tennis earned a share of the Citrus Coast League title with a 15-3 win over Nordhoff on Tuesday.
The Warriors finish the year with a 7-1 record in Citrus Coast League action, sharing the league championship with Malibu.
Carpinteria High also celebrated its senior class of Servando Campuzano, Edwin Hernandez and Kamran Dadvar.
“Servando, Edwin and Kamran have meant so much to our current and past teams,” Carpinteria High head coach Charles Bryant said. “They will be very tough to replace not just in our lineup but as mentors and leaders on our team.
“We knew going in that Nordhoff would not have enough players so we were able to move some players around and rest others. The boys responded well to their new roles and were able to expand and challenge their own skill sets.”
Dadvar dominated his singles matchups, going 3-0 and dropping just two games. Ethan Almgren also went 3-0 in singles for the Warriors, while Tiago El-Aaidi and Liam Killen tallied one win apiece.
In doubles play, Hernandez and Campuzano celebrated their Senior Day by winning their lone set of the day, 6-3.
Carpinteria High will round out the CCL Individual Tournament on Wednesday at Carpinteria High.
