Carpinteria High boys volleyball went on the road and came away with a sweep of Fillmore on Tuesday, 25-21, 25-22, 25-17.
“Despite several players stepping into new positions, the team showed resilience, adapting quickly and playing with confidence,” Warriors head coach Favian Muralles said.
Jesus Campuzano turned in a strong all-around performance with 12 digs, nine kills and three aces. Meanwhile, Alariuziel Rodriguez led the defense with 21 digs to go along with three aces.
The duo of Alan Maya (15 assists, 5 kills) and Cole Rowbottom (5 kills) excelled in their roles as well for Carpinteria.
The Warriors (7-8, 1-2 Citrus Coast League) will take on Hueneme and Righetti later this week.
Dos Pueblos 3, Buena 0
The Chargers dominated their way to a sweep of the Bulldogs on Tuesday in Ventura, 25-7, 25-4, 25-8.
“We were efficient from the service line tonight,” Dos Pueblos head coach Ehren Hug said. “The guys really took their time from the line and garnered us some great opportunities.”
Noah Grant led a balanced Charger attack with 11 kills while Wyatt Silver tallied 13 assists, four aces and two kills. Ben Wojogbe hammered down six kills and Kawin Ramko ended with four kills and six aces.
Dos Pueblos (9-3, 3-1 Channel League) will take on Oxnard on the road on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
