Carpinteria High 20, Nordhoff 8

The Warriors celebrated Senior Day with a convincing win over Nordhoff on Wednesday.

“We had a pumped-up start and much better energy than the last time we played [Nordhoff],” Carpinteria High head coach Russell Russo said. “Our Warriors were firing on all fronts today, and the hard work they’ve put in the middle is paying off. I look forward to seeing how they carry that momentum into the playoffs.”

Oscar De Leon and Ryder Shaw led the way early with two goals apiece in the first quarter, while Luke Donahue also added a goal to take an early lead.

The Warriors continued to roll with eight goals in the second quarter, ballooning the lead out to 14-2 by halftime.
