The Santa Barbara duo of Brett Patton and Nick Swanson defended their home course and won the 2026 Santa Barbara Classic over the weekend at the Santa Barbara Golf Club.
Patton and Swanson shot a 12-under-par across 36 holes on Saturday and Sunday in the two-person best ball event, winning the top Santa Cruz Flight.
They were consistent from start to finish, carding a six-under-par 64 on both days of competition to secure the win by four strokes. Both Patton and Swanson are UCSB Men’s Golf alumni.
Meanwhile, Alec Constantinides/Brandon Gama came in second place at eight-under-par and John Baur/Shane Lebow rounded out the top three at six-under-par.
In the San Miguel Men’s Net Flight, the pairing of Jaime Dale and Matt Baragona finished the weekend in first place by four strokes, ending at nine-under-par.
Jeff Forster/Grant Harris came in second at five-under-par, while Tyler Bailey/William Sweeney and Kevin Sullivan/Ed Sullivan tied for third place with a weekend score of two-under-par.
The Santa Rosa Men’s Net Flight was dominated by Duke Richardson and Nick Morello, who combined to shoot five-under-par on both days to finish at 10-under.
Tony Valdez/Charlie Yusta, Bryce Schimmel/Chris Dailey and Dale Keene/Dave Graf ended the weekend tied in second place at four-under-par.
The Anacapa Men’s Net Flight rounded out the men’s tournament dramatically, as Matt Pearson/Carlos Davalos and James Jessup/Michael Henrickson ended the 36 holes tied at three-under-par.
Pearson and Davalos then pulled out the victory by winning the first-round playoff hole.
Cliff Meek/Jim Keene finished off the Anacapa Flight podium finishers by shooting one-under-par on the weekend to take third.
The Santa Barbara Women’s Net Flight featured seven teams, with Joe Payne and Marie Flores securing first place with an even-par weekend performance.
Barbara Willett/Jeannie Finkel took second place at three-over-par, while Sheri Dean/Lucida Thompson’s score of five-over-par was good for third place.
