With the holiday season, several events are coming up in the Buellton and the Santa Ynez Valley areas.

• Buellton Fall Festival (Nov. 7-9) offers free fun with carnival rides, games, 40+ bands on two stages, and 60+ food and merchant vendors, plus beer, wine and cocktails.
• Buellton Winter Fest (Dec. 7) at Buellton Rec Center and River View Park. Start with Breakfast with Santa (ticketed, reservations required), then enjoy the free Holiday Village featuring 20 tons of snow, food vendors, music, beer and wine, and a Christmas tree lighting at 5:30 p.m.
• Santa Ynez Valley Botanic Garden Holiday Lights Festival includes three weekends of lights and cheer: 5-8:30 p.m. Dec. 5-7, 12-14 and 19-21. Explore twinkling lights, holiday decorations, and seasonal activities for all ages.
• Santa Ynez Valley Cowboy Christmas offers pony rides, hay bale pyramid climbs, mechanical bull riding, ornament crafting, and visits with Santa, Fridays and Saturdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
