Cal Wipf drove in four runs with a double in the second inning and a home run in the third to lead Santa Barbara to a 14-3 Channel League victory over Cabrillo Tuesday.
The Dons opened the scoring in the first inning with an RBI single by Vince Gamberdella.
Then came a seven-run second inning, powered by singles from Dane Dawson and Michael Firestone and doubles by Wipf and Jack Holland.
Eric Anthony started on the mound for Santa Barbara and went four innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out one.
For Cabrillo, pitcher Mikey Lara gave up nine runs on seven hits in an inning of work. He was relieved by Gage Mattis and Sean Talley. Blake Gregory went 2-for-3 at the plate for Cabrillo.
Wipf and Dawson each had three of Santa Barbara’s 14 hits.
