RECORDER PLAYERS – The Central Coast Recorder Society (CCRS) invites you to join us on Saturday, May 10th from 1-4 pm for an afternoon of music with our guest conductor, Tom Webster.

All are welcome – members and non-members alike.

FREE COACHING SESSION! Come early for a free coaching session beginning at 12:00 noon before our regular monthly meeting. Bring your own recorder and music stand. Music will be provided to you by email prior to the coaching session. This is your chance to go over the music, ask questions, and get comfortable playing with the larger group. The session will be led by Chet Stussy, a Ph.D. candidate in musicology at UC Santa Barbara, where he also teaches undergraduate music history courses. Chet conducted the Santa Barbara City College Trombone Choir from 2018 to 2022, and has worked as a Teaching Artist for the Santa Barbara Symphony’s education department.

Attendees are invited to attend our monthly meeting. Non-members may attend one afternoon monthly meeting free of charge. Please see ‘Fees’ information below for more information.

Lunch is not included with the coaching session but our regular meeting includes a break with snacks.

Meeting Schedule: CCRS monthly meetings are held from September through June where we play together and learn from professional conductors as well as talented members of our community. Meetings are typically scheduled for the first Saturday of each month.

Fees:
First time visitors may attend one meeting free of charge.
Yearly membership: $60
Non-member fees: $10/meeting.
