Blind Fitness Monthly Beach Walk & Run for Health

Please join Blind Fitness Inc, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, for their monthly Blind Fitness Walk & Run for Health. This is an opportunity to get outdoors, move your body, connect with others, and spread awareness of the blind and low vision community. Your participation helps spread our mission of empowering people who are blind or have low vision through sports, recreation, and physical activity while educating the public of their abilities. RSVP by the Wednesday prior to the event.
Suggested donation – $10 per participant/volunteer
Location: East Beach parking lot, meet at west Cabrillo parking lot near Cabrillo Pavilion Bathhouse. Nearest address is 1118 E. Cabrillo Blvd, Santa Barbara CA 93103. We congregate at the end of the west parking lot near the men’s public restroom, outdoor showers and bike racks. Look for the Blind Fitness flag.
Who: All people who are blind or have low vision, along with their family, friends, and community members.
Agenda:
9:00-9:30am: New volunteer guide training & orientation (Mandatory for all first time volunteers)
9:30-9:45am: Meet & greet connection circle
9:45-11am: Walk, run, stroll towards Harbor
11-11:30am: Post workout snacks & connection
