CALM has appointed Victoria Gonzalez, a licensed psychologist, as its senior manager of prevention and early intervention.
Gonzalez is committed to supporting families and individuals in the early stages of parenting, CALM said.
“Her wealth of experience in teaching, supervising, and providing individual, group, and family therapy makes her a key addition to CALM’s clinical leadership team,” the organization said.
After earning her BA at the University of Oregon, Gonzalez completed her master’s and doctorate in counseling, clinical, and school psychology at UC Santa Barbara. She completed her postdoctoral clinical hours at CALM nearly a decade ago.
“We are thrilled to welcome Victoria back to CALM,” said Alana Walczak, CALM president/CEO. “Her return is a full-circle moment, and we’re excited to engage her expertise as we break cycles of trauma in our community.
“Victoria’s experience in clinical care, organizational leadership, and early intervention will be instrumental in helping us strengthen our impact.”
Based in Santa Barbara, Gonzalez will work across all CALM offices.
CALM is currently hiring for several positions across Santa Barbara County. Visit calm4kids.org/careers/ to learn more and apply.
