CALM’s 10th Annual Ladies Get Loud Fundraiser surpassed its record-breaking goal of $100,000 for children and families experiencing trauma in Santa Maria.

The event, held recently on the Toyota Santa Maria rooftop, celebrated a decade of Ladies Get Loud raising critical funds for CALM.

More than 200 women supporting CALM were treated to appetizers and local wine (provided by Grocery Outlet Santa Maria and Allan Hancock College) served by waiters including Police Chief Marc Schneider and Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce President Glenn Morris, both CALM Board members; Allan Hancock College President Kevin Walthers; David LeRoy, general manager of Toyota Santa Maria; and other local celebrities.

Alana Walczak, CALM president/CEO, and Yvonne Nelson, North County regional manager, shared the story of CALM’s growth in Santa Maria, from its small beginnings in 2010 serving fewer than 200 clients, to now serving more than 1,000 clients each year throughout the Santa Maria Valley.

Strong community support in Santa Maria is bringing CALM closer to realizing its vision of safe communities where every family is supported and every child thrives, they said.

“This event honors the legacy of so many people who have come together to support CALM in our efforts to serve the children and families of North County,” Walczak said. “We’ve reached a milestone this year, raising over $100,000 in support of CALM’s childhood trauma prevention and treatment programs.”
