Carmen Pauline Medina Finn

Carmen Pauline Medina Finn went to be with Our Heavenly Father on Feb. 25, 2020, at home surrounded by her beloved husband of 53 years, her daughters and spouses, grandchildren and sisters.

“She was one of a kind, really. A beautiful soul with an infectious laugh and smile. She had the “cool aunt” factor and was so much fun to spend time with. I was blessed to be her goddaughter. Smart and savvy, she had amazing energy and was an inspiration in so many ways. Love you Nina. Rest in paradise.”

“Tia Carmen was a music-loving, party-throwing, laugh-out-loud aunt with a style all her own. She was witty and sweet and she defied all odds. What a legacy she leaves us. And what an absence we will feel without her.”

Carmen is survived by her husband Michael V Finn; her daughter Shannon and John Wirtz; daughter Jennifer and Dale Kilbourne; granddaughters Autumn Pauline and Shayna; grandsons Justin, Daniel and Dillon; sisters Rita Gonzalez and Rosalie Vasquez; and many nephews and nieces.

Carmen is preceded in death by her parents Jose P. Medina and Margaret Cordero, sister Norma Gutierrez and brother Joseph Medina.

Funeral to be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 6, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, 5444 Hollister Ave., Goleta, followed immediately by interment at Calvary Cemetery at 199 N. Hope Ave.
