A goal and an assist from freshman Evelyn Lara led the Carpinteria girls to a 2-0 road win against La Reina Tuesday.

The teams played a 0-0 first half, both getting multiple chances.
In the second half, a combination play with sophomore Keilly Hernandez to forward Lara led to Lara’s goal in the 58th minute.
In the 82nd minute, Lara assisted Ashley Verduzco for the second goal.
Warrior goalkeeper Natalie Gonzales and the back line secured the shutout.
The Warriors are now 2-2-1 heading into their first Citrus Coast League match with Nordhoff Wednesday night.
“After a good performance in our loss to DP, I was hoping the girls would take that same attitude and confidence into this game, and the girls did not disappoint,” Carpinteria coach Freddy Martinez said.
“They truly are playing like young Warriors.”
Laguna Blanca 4, Dunn 1
Laguna Blanca’s Natalie Bianchi scored two goals and Alexandra Siegel and Regina Lujan added one apiece in a 4-1 win over Dunn Tuesday.
“The girls created lots of plays and good chances to score,” Owls coach Jose Rodriguez said. “We had a good amount of corner kicks as well. They where communicating very well. I was able to rotate all my players in.”
