Carpinteria High girls tennis capped off a perfect Citrus Coast League season with an 18-0 rout of Fillmore on Senior Day on Tuesday.
With the victory, the Warriors put the finishing touches on their second straight league title.
Before the match, Carpinteria High honored the senior class of Keyla Manriquez, Valeria Zamora, Sasha Porinsh, Allison Banks, Sofia Gonzales, Kim Ocampo and Karolina Casas.
“They have been so fun to coach and have grown so much over the years,” Warriors coach Charles Bryant said of his senior class. “It is bittersweet to say goodbye as they will be missed, but they have bright futures and are great young women”
Casas was the main contributor to the singles sweep, going 3-0 and dropping just two games. Meanwhile, Emily Banks went 2-0 and Charlotte Cooney, Mina Handall, Izzy Scott and Aubrey Alcaraz all earned one singles point.
The seniors paired up for doubles play, and Manriquez and Zamora led the charge by going 3-0 with just one game lost.
The duos of Porinsh/Allison Banks and Gonzales/Ocampo each went 3-0 as well to round out the perfect day for Carpinteria High.
The Warriors, who end the season at 18-1 overall and 12-0 in CCL play, will compete in the individual league tournament next Monday and Wednesday at Pepperdine.
