Carpinteria High boys water polo finished in third place at the Thousand Oaks Fall Classic Tournament after going 2-2 in four matchups.
The Warriors kicked off the weekend with victories over Malibu (18-7) and Granada Hills Charter (15-5) before falling to Canyon of Anaheim (14-6) and Agoura (8-6).
Sebastian Campuzano-Reed led the Carpinteria defense in the goal, finishing with more than 10 blocks per game while stopping several one-on-nobody attempts.
Cody Schwasnick and Aiden Alcaraz also made their impact felt on the defensive end, bolstering the back line with strong interior defense.
Offensively, Asher Smith tallied 25 goals on the weekend, including an 11-goal performance against Granada Hills Charter. Alcaraz also found success on the offensive side, scoring three times against Agoura.
The Warriors have their home opener on Thursday at 3:45 p.m. against the Santa Barbara Dons.
