Carpinteria High swim opened their season with an impressive showing against Nordhoff, as the boys team won 110-50 and the girls team earned an 82-53 victory.
The Warriors won both the boys and girls medley races to begin the strong day, while both sides won two of the three relays.
Individually, Jacob Otsuki led the way with a pair of wins in the 50-meter freestyle and the 100-meter freestyle. Also earning an event win for Carpinteria was Jake Ehlers in the 500-meter freestyle.
Although Ashre Smith finished as the runner-up in the 100-meter backstroke, his time gave him CIF-SS Div. 2 consideration.
On the girls side, Giulia Piccoletti (200 individual medley), Allison Banks (100 backstroke), Devyn Clayton (100 butterfly) and Izzy Scott (100 freestyle) all came away with individual wins.
Scott led a sweep in the 100-meter freestyle along with Lucy Moore and Hazel Dugre.
Carpinteria will take on Malibu on the road on Wednesday.
