Carpinteria High swim competed in the eight-team, relay-only Raider Relays Invitational on Friday at Hueneme High School.

The Warriors placed second in the invitational, finishing only behind Oxnard High.

Carpinteria High won seven of the eight events in both the varsity boys and varsity girls divisions on its way to the second-place showing.

“It’s always fun to swim in relay-only events,” Warrior head coach Jon Otsuki said. “With only one relay team of swimmers in the water at a time, it gives everyone else the chance to cheer on their teammates and really build the team’s energy on the deck.”
