Playing in their fourth match in five days, the Carpinteria Girls Volleyball team took down Santa Clara High in four sets (25-16, 25-19, 25-17, 25-13).
After splitting the first two sets, the Warriors buckled down and won back-to-back sets to clinch the victory.
The offensive attack was led by Liz Apizar, who had 10 kills and eight digs. Alongside Apizar were Sawyer Taff, who had three blocks and three kills, and Amarisse Camargo, who added in nine kills and eight digs.
The win brings Carpinteria’s record to 2-2 in non-league play this season.
